Oval textile brooches with portraits of Franz Kafka, Albert Einstein and Václav Havel. What did these personalities have in common besides their specific intellect, intellectual interests and personality? Prague, and especially one of Prague's most iconic cafés - Café Louvre, for which these brooches were designed and produced by Prague native and artist Zuzana Valenová (scenographer, sculptor, puppet, jewellery and brings maker).
The portraits are hand-drawn, printed on fabric and adorned with a miniature men's bow tie, framed with either a beaded piping or a velvet rosette. The former type of brooch has a 3 cm sturdy pin on the back, the latter with a velvet rosette has a strong magnetic clasp.
