History of the Jews in Bohemia and Moravia (19th - 20th Centuries)

This publication presents a comprehensive overview by renowned experts on the modern history of Jews in the Bohemian lands during the 19th and 20th centuries. It covers the period from the beginning of Jewish emancipation in the 1800s to the post-war era of the 20th century.

Originally, the book served as a guide to the exhibition at the Spanish Synagogue in Prague. It was published by the Jewish Museum in Prague in 1999. Currently, it can no longer be used as an exhibition guide, as the entire display was renovated and redesigned in 2020. However, the content remains relevant, featuring numerous exhibits from the Spanish Synagogue, including many period photographs and valuable items from the collections of the Jewish Museum in Prague and other institutions.
