This model represents a Orthodox Church of St. Peter and Paul built in 1893 - 1898 in Karlovy Vary, a world-famous spa town in West Bohemia. The model for the construction of this Orthodox church was the Byzantine-Old Russian church near Moscow. The necessary funds for the construction of the church in Karlovy Vary were raised through a collection among the wealthy Serbian and Russian spa clientele and nobility. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul attracts attention from afar with its gilded domes and boasts rich interior decoration. Notable works of art include a relief of the Russian Tsar Peter the Great. As these models are handmade, each piece is an original and may vary slightly in colour and weight.
